JOB DESCRIPTION
The Controller will play a key role in managing the organization’s financial activities, ensuring compliance with accounting principles, and supporting strategic financial planning. Additionally, this position will oversee operations to ensure efficient and effective organizational processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial management, nonprofit accounting, and a passion for environmental conservation.
The following skills & attributes will be required or are desired in this position; Bachelors degree in accounting, finance or a related field (Masters or CPA preferred), proven experience as a controller or in a similar role, knowledge & experience with GAAP & non-profit fund accounting, Quickbooks & Microsoft suite proficiency, exceptional communication & interpersonal skills.
