Here are answers to common questions from conference attendees.
Registration is available until the start of the conference, but to receive early bird pricing, register prior to January 15, 2027.
Due to the extensive learning opportunities available over the two days, single-day registration is not available.
Discounted registration is available prior to January 15, 2027. Regular registration pricing will be available until March 5, 2027. After that date, late registration pricing will apply.
We are expecting this to be a full event and our location places caps on how many people we can accommodate. Once we reach the attendee limit, we will offer a wait list. To secure your spot, please register early.
Conference registration includes breakfast, lunch, break service, and hosted appetizers in the networking receptions.
There is a $50 administrative fee for full cancellations. All cancellations must be requested by Friday, February 19, 2027. Refunds will not be considered after this date. Please email [email protected] to make a request.
Substitutions can be made; CCLT must receive your written request for a change by Friday, February 19, 2027. Please email [email protected] to make a request.
Credits will not be given for future events.
The conference takes place over three days and includes plenary sessions, concurrent workshops organized by track, and field trips into the surrounding landscapes. Workshops include hands-on trainings, case studies, and panel conversations, so you can focus on technical topics or step back for the bigger picture. You can choose sessions that fit your role and interests and move between tracks as you like.
Absolutely. Connecting with each other is one of the best parts of the conference. Things kick off Monday evening with a General Welcome Reception and ends on Wednesday with the 4th Annual Film Festival, providing time to gather and talk over shared work. Field trips, meals, and breaks between sessions offer opportunities to reconnect with colleagues, meet new partners, and swap ideas with people doing this work across California.

Hotel rooms are priced at $290 per room per night, including all state taxes and fees and a reduced resort fee of $15 per night. The resort fee, which is normally $40 per room per night, is required, and cannot be waived. It covers access to several resort amenities, including:
- Wi-Fi
- Pool access
- Arcade
- Driving range
- Miniature golf
- Two-hour bicycle rentals
Please note that hotel rooms are located on both the first and second floor of this resort-style property. The second floor is accessed by stairs only, there are no elevators at the hotel. If you prefer a first-floor hotel room, you can make this request upon arrival at check-in.
Yes, the hotel does offer luggage storage. If you are not able to check into your room upon arrival, or need to check out prior to departing the resort, the hotel will store your luggage at no cost. Please do not bring your luggage to the conference spaces, as there are no storage options available in the meeting areas.
Conference attendees can use self-parking at no charge (normally $23.00 plus tax per car), while valet parking costs $39.00 plus tax per vehicle per night. The hotel does not have electric vehicle charging stations.
Meals will be served buffet-style, based on the dietary restrictions provided during registration. If you have any special requests, reach email [email protected] to share your requests. You can also let the on-site registration team know when you arrive.
Business casual is the norm, and comfortable is always welcome. Rancho Mirage in late March tends to bring warm days and cool evenings, so layers can be useful. If you’re joining a field trip, plan for sturdy closed-toe shoes, a hat, sunscreen, and water.
