Save the Date: 2025 Conference

April 5, 2024 |

Thank you to all of our attendees, speakers, and sponsors for making the 2024 Land & Water Conservation Conference a success. We had over 300 attendees over the two days of conference sessions, with an inspiring opening plenary speech by Secretary Wade Crowfoot and an equally motivating closing plenary speech about Why Conservation Matters by Dr. Jennifer Norris. In between, conference attendees were able to learn about Carbon Sequestration, Returning Beneficial Fire to the Landscape, Regenerative Agriculture, Working with Indigenous Partners, How to Manage Endowments, Housing and Conservation, Prevailing Wage, Equity in Conservation, and more. We are coming away inspired and energized to continue our work.

Even after two full days of education and networking, a cohort of CCLT members joined us at the Capitol to meet with legislative staff and elected officials to introduce legislators and their staff to CCLT, educate them about land trusts and the work they do, and advocate for funding and especially a climate resilience bond with funding for programs that preserve, protect, and restore our natural and working lands and provide access to nature. Stay tuned over the next weeks and months for more action you can take to help us advocate for more funding.

Save the date for next year’s conference: March 31, 2025 – April 3, 2025 at Tenaya Lodge in Yosemite!
