Call for Workshop Proposals
March 22–24, 2027
We invite you to submit a workshop proposal for the 2027 California Land & Water Conservation Conference, March 22–24, at the Westin Rancho Mirage Golf Resort and Spa.
California's land and water are at an inflection point. Drought, wildfire, development pressure, and biodiversity loss are testing the state's landscapes and the communities who depend on them — even as new funding streams, Tribal co-stewardship partnerships, and a deepening bench of land trusts create real momentum for durable protection. The 2027 California Land & Water Conservation Conference is where that momentum turns into results: three days where more than 450 of California's most engaged conservation leaders build the skills, relationships, and policy strategy that turn urgency into protected acres.
Workshop sessions are the heart of our gathering — where practitioners, partners, and thought leaders come together to exchange ideas, explore challenges, and advance conservation practice across California.
This is your opportunity to contribute to the growth and strength of our collective work — whether through innovative approaches in land protection, new models for community engagement, effective fundraising strategies, or lessons learned in stewardship and restoration. By presenting a session, you will help strengthen the field, build capacity among peers, and inspire collaboration that extends far beyond the conference.

Important Details
- Workshop sessions will be on Tuesday, March 23 and Wednesday, March 24.
- Workshop proposals must be submitted no later than Wednesday, September 30 to be considered for one of 30 sessions.
- All workshop proposals must be submitted via the form below. Proposals sent through email will not be considered.
- Discounted speaker registration offered, with a maximum of three speaker discounts per workshop.
- Workshop rooms will contain a projector, screen, and microphones for up to three speakers.
- We will not have remote capability for workshops.
- Sessions will not be recorded or available for streaming.
