Position includes general administrative support for ongoing land trust project tasks, including preliminary title review, deed revisions, due diligence related to establishing conservation agreements and working with real property/fee simple transactions. Assists with preparing metrics to fulfil requests on NCRLT’s projects. Contributes to development of internal and external printed materials and fact sheets related to current acquisitions process.
Position Overview
The Acquisitions Assistant provides technical support for projects under both Conservation and Stewardship Programs, reporting to the Stewardship Director/Executive Director. This individual assists with a broad range of tasks related to project completion during the acquisitions process, including reviewing real estate documents for mark-up, assuming primary responsibility for draft and proposed revisions to real estate documents, and to serve as a key contact for all internal project updates. Additionally, team participation includes community relations, drafting copy and graphics for social media updates with staff input and collaboration, and contributing to reporting and updating to inform staff, BOD.
Playing a key role in the Conservation Program, the Acquisitions Assistant meets acquisitions’ project deadlines outlined by grant agreements, which is one measure of performance.
Compensation
This position is compensated on an hourly basis, averaging 20 – 30 hours per week, earning a maximum $36,000 every 12-months/annually. Initial hourly wage will be based on experience, education, and ability, with wage increases considered upon positive performance evaluation at 1-year intervals.
