We are delighted to welcome Jessica Matthews to the California Council of Land Trusts (CCLT) Team as the new Grants Program Manager!
Jessica brings deep expertise at the intersection of natural and working lands, conservation finance, and grant strategy, with a proven track record supporting land protection and stewardship across Northern California. She joins CCLT from the Siskiyou Land Trust, where she served as an Acquisitions Project Manager, leading complex land conservation projects from concept through funding and implementation. Prior to that, Jessica worked as the Program Director with the Mount Shasta Bioregional Ecology Center, supporting community-based conservation and ecological resilience efforts.
“Jessica’s background in natural and working lands, combined with her extensive grant management experience, makes her a perfect fit for the CCLT team,” said Caroline Godkin, Executive Director of CCLT. “She will be working closely with our grantees and our funding agencies to support land trusts as they work towards the state’s ambitious 30×30 and Nature Based Solutions goals.”
Jessica holds a B.S. in Wildlife Biology from Cal Poly Humboldt and a Certificate in Regenerative Agriculture Management: Tribal Co-Stewardship Conservation Planning from CSU Chico. Based in the Mount Shasta region, she brings a collaborative, systems-level approach to grants management, rooted in on-the-ground conservation experience and a strong commitment to supporting land trusts statewide.
We’re thrilled to have Jessica on board and look forward to the impact she’ll make in advancing land conservation across California.
